We're so happy with the construction at the Virginia M. Buena Memorial Center. It's growing and growing on a daily basis. Our sister organization - Learning and Development Kenya - is so diligent. Especially Philip Ndeta keeps everyone busy with the construction. The ground floor will be the kitchen and dining hall - where 500 children will receive at least one warm meal the day - the orphans living in our orphanage receive 3 meals the day. The second floor will be the common hall for all of the children - but will serve as a temporary preschool while the school is being built right after this construction is finished. The third floor will serve as the first part of the vocational training center. We have a lot to do - so if anyone has any fund-raising ideas or wants to do some fund raising for us through fairs, cake sales, benefit concerts or art auctions - please do.
